Counseling and Recreation

Victor Lee, Biblical Counseling Director

Victor Lee is a veteran foster parent with a strong background in family counseling and pastoral ministry, having most recently spent almost 10 years at First Baptist Concord, Knoxville, where he was minister of Young Adults & Families. Victor and his wife, Judy, have five children -- four adopted from foster care -- and are in the process of adopting from Ukraine. His hope is to teach the students at WVR that joy, purpose, and healing are found only by following Christ as instructed in His Word.

Victor has a journalism degree from the University of Tennessee and a masters from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He spent 18 years as a newspaper reporter before going into vocational ministry and has written more than 400 Christian magazine or web articles, as well as co-authoring the book "Family to Family -- Leaving a Lasting Legacy."

In addition to providing individual, group, and family counseling, Pastor Victor oversees the houseparents, mentors and the counseling staff.

Erin Perry Musick, Female Counselor

Erin Perry graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's of Divinity in Counseling, after completing degrees in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Kentucky. Erin worked in a church counseling facility for three years, and also volunteered at a crisis pregnancy center. Her heart for the Lord and for teenage girls is also evidenced in her 8 years of working with both high school and college girls, leading Bible studies and accountability groups.  We are thrilled that the Lord has called Erin to Wears Valley to love and reach our girls.

Lorie Wolfe, Assistant to Biblical Counseling Director

While a teenager working at a horse barn in Georgia, Lorie met a farrier who told her about Wears Valley Ranch.  (He was, and still is, the farrier for the Ranch.)  Lorie knew, at that point, that one day she wanted to serve at the Ranch.  She carried that desire with her through college and at last came to the Ranch in 2008.

Lorie was born near Detroit, MI and lived in New Orleans and Macon, GA.  Lorie attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where she graduated with B.A. in Family Ministries and Bible.  After graduation, Lorie came to work at Wears Valley Ranch as a Mentor.  The Mentor position is short-term – usually one year or less.  But Lorie’s love for the children at the Ranch and their love for her shone through and she accepted an offer to serve an extra year as a Mentor.  Having worked as a mentor and working closely with the children, Lorie brings an added dimension to her current role as Assistant to the Residential Director.   Lorie quickly learned how important consistency and stability are in nurturing children.  Lorie says that her passion is to give God's unconditional love to the students and to replace lies they have believed with God's truth.  We thank God for bringing Lorie to the Ranch!

Seth Houser, Camp and Recreation Director

Seth Houser, a graduate of Berry College, GA, has had years of experience in outdoor recreation. He is a certified ropes course instructor and previously worked at one of the Southeast's largest and most reputable summer camps. Seth not only serves as our Recreation Director, but also as our Volunteer Coordinator and the Camp Director of Camp Arrowwood. We are delighted to have him on our staff.

Ryan McCaffrey, Equestrian Director

Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wheaton College. He is a riding instructor through the Certified Horsemanship Association. He has served as Head Wrangler at several camp and conference centers, including Honey Rock in Wisconsin. He and his wife Kit are great assets to the Ranch.
